A group of guys and gals (college age and just older) have been meeting at my house on Sunday nights to study Concise Theology by J.I. Packer. Our goal is to study theology for living it out and teaching others. We live in a pretty shallow world and hopefully God will stir in our hearts and enable us to grow deep and at the same time be real.

We are going to do a gathering once a month (or so) that will be overflow from our discussions as we work through Packer's book. We have decided to call this [monthly] gathering OVERFLOW for obvious reasons. I hope it will be a blessing to the group as we all learn to grapple with Theology and even teach it in a meaningful way although none of us completely understand God. We are convinced that He is knowable and wants us to know Him and make Him known...and so we try and trust Him. Zeal Ministries [Mark Goodson and others] will be coordinating these gatherings and offering mission and service opportunities that highlight the topic of theology we are teaching. Also, Aaron Cousino, Brook Landry, Molly Bergeron, Christy Charrier, and Thomas Bowen, who are involved in the study, will be leading in worship with music that uplifts our topic.

As we journeyed to new orleans for a special once a month gathering, we decided to grab some 'ye old college inn', which looks like a hole in the wall place, but after walking you realize its incredibly fancy. Yes, fancy. And what about the 'once a month gathering'?

Our LSU percussion ensemble, Hamiruge, had the extraordinary opportunity to perform with two incredible percussionists... Dr. John Parks, percussion professor at FSU.. and vibraphone virtuoso Anders Astrand.. whom both are pictured above playing the last movement of the concert. Incredible.

So, even though this pic is over a week old...what you see here is Tyler and I purchasing healthiness at our local walmart neighborhood market. Suprisingly, it has lasted and we've actually been eating this stuff. I think we've found the path to real food.

The setting sun, white-capping waters, and the sound of the half-dead troller motor skimming through the sea... all sounds of the first annual Bass Master Classic fishing tournament here in St. Francisville. Ok, so it's not a real tournament, but the sights and sounds are real...

Jordan, Phil, and I have been enjoying our first day of Spring break with a little skeet shooting, pistols, rifles, and a nice little bass fish in the pond. So far, we're tied at zero.
